Current Bill Summary

SB 510 - Under this act, a pharmacist may dispense HIV preexposure prophylaxis in accordance with a written protocol authorized by a licensed physician. Such dispensation shall be for no more than a 30-day supply in a 2-year period, unless dispensed pursuant to a prescription. The State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts may advise the State Board of Pharmacy on the promulgation of rules regulating the dispensation of HIV preexposure prophylaxis and postexposure prophylaxis.

This act is similar to provisions of SB 79 (2021).
