Current Bill Summary

SB 853 - This act requires an employer to compensate an employee for all of the employee's accrued but unused vacation leave and annual leave upon the termination of the employee's employment. An employer is permitted to allow an employee to utilize accrued but unused leave as paid time off to be taken at the end of employment in lieu of compensating such employee.

This act is identical to SB 142 (2021) and HB 1500 (2020) and substantially similar to HB 613 (2021).
