HB 1724 - This act prohibits public institutions of higher learning from taking any action or making any policy that denies a belief-based student association a benefit available to other student groups or otherwise discriminating with respect to any such benefit when such action is based on the association's mission or sincerely held beliefs, practice requirements, or standards of conduct, as described in the act.

Belief-based student associations which experience an adverse action prohibited under the act may seek appropriate relief from the institution in a judicial or administrative proceeding.

This act is similar to SB 332 (2021) and to HB 1926 (2020).
