SB 1217 - Currently, if the court of appeals permits, any party aggrieved by a trial court judgment from any order granting or denying class action certification may appeal to a court having jurisdiction in any civil action of which an appeal is not constitutionally prohibited nor limited by law. This act removes the requirement for permission of the court of appeals for such an appeal. This act is identical to HB 2835 (2022).
