Current Bill Summary

SB 1095 - Under this act, a publisher who offers to license an electronic literary product, as defined in the act, to the public shall also offer to license the product to public libraries on reasonably similar terms as those offered to the public.

The terms for a license for an electronic literary product may include limitations and requirements listed in the act.

A violation of this act shall constitute an unfair, abusive, or deceptive trade practice under the Merchandising Practices Act.

This act is identical to HB 2210 (2022).
