Current Bill Summary

SB 985 - Under this act, no political subdivision shall have the authority, on or after the effective date of this act, to assert released claims against released entities under the terms of a statewide opioid settlement agreement executed by the Attorney General and the released entity. Additionally, the Attorney General shall retain copies of any statewide opioid settlement agreements and make such copies available as public records under state law.

This act has an emergency clause.

This act is identical to HB 2437 (2022).
