Current Bill Summary

SB 234 - This act provides that no person who has been convicted of or pled guilty to a felony with an essential element of fraud, misrepresentation, or dishonesty shall be appointed as a personal representative of an estate. Additionally, a person who has filed a petition or been subject to a federal bankruptcy or state insolvency proceeding within the last 10 years shall not be appointed as a personal representative.

This act is substantially similar to SB 717 (2020).
