HCS/HB 27 - This act modifies provisions regarding the Sunshine Law. Current law requires a public governmental body to provide reasonable notice of a meeting. This act provides that reasonable notice shall include posting the notice on the body's website and social media pages if the public body maintains a website or social media page. All minutes of open meetings shall be posted on the website and social media pages. If notice and the minutes are posted on the public body's website, a link to the social media page on the website shall satisfy the requirements of this provision.

The act further requires public governmental bodies to post proposed and adopted rules, ordinances, laws, and regulations on their website and social media pages within three business days after the meeting at which such rules, ordinances, laws, and regulations are proposed or adopted. Posting a link on the body's website to the social media pages shall satisfy the requirements of this provision.
