HCS/HB 583 - This act requires performance audits for economy and efficiency to be conducted once every four years on each of the state departments, the General Assembly, the judiciary and departments and offices under the executive branch, including all statewide elected offices. The Office of Administration shall solicit bids and select an independent auditor. Within 30 days of receiving the results of the audit, the results shall be posted on the auditee's website. The Office of Administration shall additionally submit the audit results to the General Assembly. Any entity that fails to participate in an audit under this act shall be subject to suit for a declaratory judgment and injunctive relief.
