Current Bill Summary

SB 605 - This act requires the State Auditor, at the end of each fiscal year to:

· Issue a report on all state lending programs and state credit support programs at the end of each fiscal year;

· Compile the total dollar amount of all lending in state lending programs and the total amount of debt supported by state credit support programs, specified by program; and

· Make reasonable estimates of the costs of likely defaults on state lending programs and state credit support programs, specified by program.

This act is substantially similar to provisions in the perfected HCS/HB 29 (2021), the truly agreed to and finally passed SCS/HCS/HB 362 (2021), the perfected HCS/HB 814 (2021), the perfected HCS/HBs 927 & 928 (2021), and HCS/HB 1177 (2021).
