SB 544 - Under current law, all workers performing work on a public works project are required to be paid either the prevailing hourly rate of wages or the public works contracting minimum wage, whichever is applicable, for the locality in which the work is completed. This act modifies that provision so that only the public works contracting minimum wage is required to be paid such workers. SCOTT SVAGERA
