JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Ed Emery, R-Lamar, discusses Senate Bill 525, which was debated by Missouri senators this week. This measure seeks to allow a recovery charter high schools to be operated in Kansas City for students in recovery from substance use disorder or dependency. He also talks about Senate Bill 707, which was heard in the Missouri Senate Education Committee this week. This proposal would establish the Missouri Empowerment Scholarship Accounts Program.
