JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Ed Emery, R-Lamar, discusses Senate Joint Resolution 39, which would let voters decide if a nonpartisan judicial commission could give the governor a list of all qualified nominees, rather than a list of three nominees, to fill a judicial vacancy in a court under the nonpartisan court plan; Senate Bill 612, legislation that seeks to require the Missouri Senate to try all impeachments and modify what constitutes grounds for impeachment; and Senate Joint Resolution 33, which would put this before voters.
