Introduced

SB 560 - Current law requires any state agency or board established for the regulation of occupations and professions to issue a temporary courtesy license to a nonresident spouse of an active duty member of the military who is transferred to Missouri in the course of the member's military duty, so that such spouse may lawfully practice his or her occupation or profession in the state.

This act would require any state agency or regulatory board to issue a permanent license or certificate to a nonresident military spouse who is transferred to the state in the course of the member's military duty, and meets the requirements set forth in the act. Such license shall be valid for such time as normally allotted for such license or certificate by the appropriate agency or regulatory board.

This act is similar to SCS/SB 476 (2019), HB 1140 (2019), provisions contained in HCS/SB 164 (2019), and provisions contained in HCS/SB 204 (2019).
