HCS/HB 1331 - This act creates the "Change of Venue for Capital Cases Fund" for the reimbursement of costs associated with the sequestering of jurors in counties in which a capital case has been transferred from another county. The Office of State Courts Administrator ("OSCA") shall develop an application process to determine if a county is eligible for reimbursement and OSCA shall disburse funds to eligible counties. If OSCA determines that a county is not eligible for reimbursement, the county in which the capital case originated shall be responsible for reimbursement.
