Current Bill Summary

SB 1073 - This act provides that a peace officer having custody of a person shall not release the person from custody during or immediately preceding the delivery of medical or psychiatric care in a hospital where the person is receiving treatment, unless the health care provider consents to a release, the release is ordered by a court, or probable cause no longer exists to hold the person in custody.

This act is identical to SB 428 (2019).
