Current Bill Summary

SB 957 - This act provides that once a health care practitioner has been credentialed or re-credentialed by a health carrier, the carrier shall provide retroactive payments for any covered services performed by the practitioner since the carrier received the practitioner's completed credentialing application.

This act is identical to HB 2338 (2020), similar to provisions in the truly agreed to and finally passed SS/SCS/HCS/HB 1682 (2020), provisions in SCS/HB 1383 (2020), HB 2508 (2020), and SB 938 (2020), is identical to HCS/HB 654 (2019) and a provision in HCS/SB 275 (2019), and is similar to a provision in SB 396 (2019) and a provision in SCS/HB 758 (2019).
