JEFFERSON CITY – State Sen. Eric Burlison, R-Battlefield, would like to congratulate several residents of the 20th Senatorial District on their appointments to several of the state’s boards and commissions. The Gubernatorial Appointments Committee discussed these appointments on Wednesday, Jan. 30:

  • John Christopher Russell, Commissioner of the Greene County Eastern District Commission;
  • Cynthia Hermann Baker, Committee for Professional Counselors;
  • Colby H. Grove, State Board of Pharmacy;
  • Michael B. Robertson, Commissioner of the Christian County Eastern District Commission;

“I am honored to have participated in the gubernatorial appointments of some of the finest people Missouri has to offer,” Sen. Burlison said. “Yet again, Southwest Missouri has proven it has some of the leading experts in a variety of fields who are working tirelessly to make Missouri a better place to work and to live, and this fact was not lost on our governor.  I cannot wait to see the positive impact they have on our state.”

On Thursday, Jan. 31, the Missouri Senate gave its advice and consent to these appointees and several others. Following the Senate’s approval, they can now begin their terms on the appointed board or commission.
