SB 322 - Current law requires excursion gambling boat licensees to pay the Missouri Gaming Commission an admission fee of $2.00 for each person embarking on an excursion gambling boat. This act increases such admission fee to $3.00, with the additional $1.00 deposited in the Steamboat Legacy Fund, which is created by the act. Moneys in the Steamboat Legacy Fund shall be used solely for the construction, maintenance, and operation of a facility to be located in Jefferson City that shall house books, maps, artifacts, and other material related to the significance of the steamboat era in the history of Missouri. Moneys in the fund shall also be used for the construction, maintenance, and operation of a facility that shall be a part of the Missouri State Museum. This act is identical to HB 869 (2019).
