SB 256 - This act requires the Secretary of State to prescribe forms for the signature pages of initiative and referendum petitions. Such forms shall be made available in an electronic format and used for all initiative and referendum petitions. Signatures gathered after the effective date of this act shall not be counted unless they are submitted on a petition sheet prescribed by the Secretary, provided that signatures gathered prior to the effective date of this act on previously submitted petition sheets may be submitted if the Secretary of State is notified prior to such submission. This act is similar to provisions in SCS/SB 5 (2019), HB 290 (2019), HB 496 (2019), HCB 10 (2019), SS/SCS/SB 893 (2018), and HCS/HB 1289 (2018). This act contains an emergency clause. SCOTT SVAGERA
