SB 351 - Under current law, all teacher-training institutions receiving state aid are required to provide courses in physical education, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

This act requires all teacher-training institutions receiving state aid to require students to demonstrate proficiency on the concepts of trauma-informed approach and trauma-specific interventions as defined by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Division within the United States Department of Health and Senior Services.

This act is identical to HB 310 (2019), HB 2378 (2018), and HB 847 (2017).
