HB 1006 Prohibits public bodies from entering into certain contracts

HB 1006 - This act prohibits any public entity from entering into certain contracts with a company unless the contract includes a written certification that the company is not currently engaged in, and agrees for the duration of the contract not to engage in, a boycott of the State of Israel or territories under its control. Any contract which fails to comply with the provisions of this act shall be void.

This act does not apply to contracts with a total potential value of less than $100,000 or to contractors with fewer than 10 employees.

This act is substantially similar to SB 308 (2019), HB 825 (2019), HB 1011 (2019), SCS/SB 849 (2018), and the perfected HB 2179 (2018).
