HCS/HB 420 - This act modifies provisions relating to certain collaborative practice arrangements.

ASSISTANT PHYSICIANS AND APRN COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE ARRANGEMENTS (Section 334.037, 334.104, and 334.735)

Under current law, assistant physicians and advanced practice registered nurses in a collaborative practice arrangement with a physician shall maintain a geographic proximity to such physician. Physician assistants in a collaborative agreement with a physician shall practice only at locations within a geographic proximity that is determined by the Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.

Under this act, the geographic proximity requirement is waived when such providers are providing care to a client of an alternatives to abortion agency.

These provisions are identical to SB 280 (2019).

UTILIZATION OF TELEHEALTH BY NURSES (Section 335.175)

This act removes the sunset provision for the utilization of telehealth by APRNs.

This provision is identical to HB 226 (2019), HCS/HB 301 (2019), SCS/HB 758 (2019), HCS/SB 514 (2019), HCS/SS/SCS/SBs 70 & 128 (2019), and SS/HB 219 (2019).
