JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, discusses Senate Bill 573, which would allow an income tax deduction for certain military personnel. The measure was heard in the Missouri Senate Veterans and Military Affairs Committee, which Sen. Hoskins chairs. He also talks about Senate Bill 610, which seeks to prohibit an individual from participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program if he or she is delinquent in child support. His proposal was heard in the Missouri Senate Seniors, Families and Children Committee. Senator Hoskins also discusses gubernatorial appointees and the first hearing of the Missouri Senate Appropriations Committee, which was held this week.
