SB 610 - Under this act, an individual shall be ineligible to participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during any month such individual is delinquent in any child support payment. A disqualification under this act will only apply to the individual and not to the entire household. An individual who is delinquent in child support may be exempted from the provisions of this act if: (1) a court has allowed the individual to delay payment; (2) the individual is complying with a payment plan; or (2) the Department of Social Services determines the individual has good cause for non-support. This act is identical to a provision in HCS/HB 1856 (2018) and HB 2362 (2018). SARAH HASKINS
