SB 840 - This act modifies the Dietitian Practice Act to update the terminology for the national organization name change from the American Dietetic Association to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The act also updates the accrediting agency name from the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education to the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. The definitions for "medical nutrition therapy" and "registered dietitian" are modified by adding registered dietitian nutritionists to the definitions. Additionally, any person who holds a license to practice dietetics may use the abbreviation L.D.N. JAMIE ANDREWS
