HCS/SB 581 - This act provides that in civil actions seeking rent and possession of a property brought by a landlord against a tenant, the aggrieved party has a right to a trial de novo. The act also repeals provisions of law which require a landlord to keep all security deposits in a trust account and prohibits commingling of the security deposit with other funds of the landlord.
