SB 586 - This act creates a Joint Committee on Disaster Preparedness, consisting 13 members specified in the act. The purpose of the Committee shall be to make a continuous study and investigation into the following areas: (1) State and local preparedness for floods; (2) State and local preparedness for tornados, blizzards, and other severe storms; (3) Food and energy resiliency; (4) Cyber-security; (5) The Budget Reserve Fund. The Committee may compile a full report of its activities for submission to the General Assembly. The report shall be submitted not later than January first of even-numbered years and may include any recommendations which the Committee may have for legislative action. SCOTT SVAGERA
