HB 2286 - Currently the definition of "local log truck" requires the vehicles to not pull a trailer with more than two axles. This act raises that limit to three axles. The act requires temporary vehicle registration permits to be returned to, and destroyed by, the Department of Revenue upon issuance of the standard registration plates.
The act also exempts temporary vehicle registration permits for commercial vehicles registered in excess of 24,000 pounds from the provisions of law regarding the issuance, renewal, display, and validity of such temporary permits.
This act is identical to provisions in CCS/HCS/SS/SB 881 (2018), HCS#2/SS#2/SCS/SB 1050 (2018), and HCS/HB 2080 (2018).
