JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Bill Eigel, R-Weldon Spring, discusses his thoughts on the federal Real ID law, and Senate Bill 428, which he introduced on the Missouri Senate floor this week. His proposal seeks to authorize charter schools to be operated in any school district of the state.

- Senator Eigel says he’s concerned with the federal government’s Real ID law.
- Senator Eigel adds the federal government originally passed Real ID in 2005. He says the Missouri Legislature passed a resolution for noncompliance with the mandate just four years later.
