Governor To Sign Bills In Warrensburg

Jefferson City – During the First Regular Session of the 99th General Assembly, the Legislature passed Senate Bills 376 and 395. Senator Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, sponsored both bills. The governor is expected to sign the bills into law on Friday, June 23, at 6 p.m.

Senate Bill 376 designates Old Drum as Missouri’s Historical Dog and Jim the Wonder Dog as Missouri’s Wonder Dog. Senate Bill 395 establishes guidelines for Missouri’s accounting profession, including lowering the age needed to become a licensed accountant and enhancing firm mobility for Certified Public Accountants.

Along with the governor, Sen. Hoskins will speak about the importance of these bills, emphasizing both strengthening local economies and modernizing Missouri’s accounting regulations.
