SB 93 - This act modifies the length of terms of directors elected to the Kansas City Public Schools school board. At-large directors who were elected in 2014 shall have the end date of their term changed from 2019 to 2018, and the successors shall be elected to an initial three year term. Thereafter, the two at-large electors shall be elected for a four year term. The at-large director who was elected in 2016 shall serve until 2019, at which time such seat will be eliminated. At the 2019 election, the number of sub-districts shall be reduced from six to five in accordance with current law. At such election, the directors of subdistricts one and three shall be elected to an initial two-year term. The directors of subdistricts two, four, and five shall be elected to a four-year term. In subsequent elections, all directors shall be elected to four-year terms.
