SS/HB 104 - This act repeals the current methods used to determine the prevailing hourly rate of wages in each locality and replaces it with a requirement that the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be equivalent to the average hourly wage rate in each locality as determined by the Department of Economic Development. The prevailing wage law shall only apply to the construction of public works for which the contract awarded is more than $500,000.
