Current Bill Summary

SB 103 - This act requires an employee from the Department of Health and Senior Services who is responding to or investigating a report of elder abuse or neglect to provide the alleged perpetrator, if he or she is present during an initial visit, with a written description of the investigation process and the Department's policies regarding such investigations. The Department employee shall give the alleged perpetrator time to read the materials or shall read the materials to him or her if necessary. Additionally, the Department shall make these written materials available to the public at all times on the Department's website.

This act is identical to HCS/SS/SB 619 (2016) and similar to HB 2384 (2016).
