SS/SCS/SB 704 - This act requires every department and division of the state, including the General Assembly and the offices of statewide elected officials, to make information available to the public relating to all contracts entered into greater than $2,500 for the provision of legal services by private law firms. This act is similar to HCS/SCS/SB 14 (2015). SCOTT SVAGERA HCA 1 - THE SENATE VERSION OF THIS ACT APPLIES TO EVERY DEPARTMENT AND DIVISION OF THE STATE. UNDER THIS AMENDMENT, THE ACT ONLY APPLIES TO DEPARTMENTS AND DIVISIONS OF THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH. THE AMENDMENT FURTHER APPLIES THE ACT TO THE OFFICES OF EVERY EXECUTIVE BRANCH APPOINTEE.
