SB 944 - Currently, any person who violates certain provisions of the Underground Facility Safety and Damage Prevention Act or who willfully damages underground facilities is liable for a civil penalty of up to $10,000. Under this act, the civil penalty for such a violation is $50,000. This act is identical to HB 2509 (2016) and a provision contained in SB 491 (2015). KAYLA HAHN
