SB 686 - Current law provides that a city of the fourth classification may proceed with street improvements if a majority of property owners liable to taxation for the improvements who reside in the city do not protest the plans. This act provides that the city may proceed with street improvements if the property owners collectively owning more than 50 percent of the linear feet of all property fronting or bordering the street do not protest.
