SB 1032 - Under this act, for any nonpartisan election in Jefferson County, the election authority or political subdivision responsible for the oversight of filing for a particular election may designate the Jefferson County Clerk as the entity responsible for overseeing filing. If an election authority or political subdivision chooses to designate its filing responsibilities, the county clerk is required to assume the filing responsibilities, and the election authority or political subdivision shall publish legal notice, indicating where persons may file for office.
