HB 2473 - This act restricts the release of incident, accident, and investigative reports involving suicide or attempted suicide, and any medical records contained within such reports involving instances of sexual offenses by law enforcement agencies. Such records are to be considered closed records under the state's open records law.

In addition, this act provides that a violation of the restrictions on release of the information due to a negligent act or omission by a law enforcement officer or agency is punishable by discipline by the agency and the Police Officer Standards and Training Commission.
