HB 1576 - This act transfers certain responsibilities for security and administration of the State Capitol and adjacent buildings that house any office of the General Assembly or its staff from the Office of Administration to the newly created Commission on Capitol Security Infrastructure. The Commission shall consist of the Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, or their designees.

In addition, the Commission shall oversee the Capitol gift shop and provide each member of the General Assembly with a key to the dome. Finally, current law provides that the director of the Department of Public Safety shall employ Missouri capitol police officers. This act requires the director to employ such officers as directed by the Commission.
