SCS/HB 1452 - Under current law, any person required to file a financial interest statement under provisions of law pertaining to the regulation of conflict of interest and lobbying, with certain exceptions, is required to file such statement annually not later than May 1. Such statement shall cover the calendar year ending preceding December 31. This act requires such persons to file a statement biannually. The first statement shall be filed no later than January 15 and shall cover the period of July 1 to December 31 of the preceding year. The second statement shall be filed no later than July 15 and shall cover the period of January 1 to June 30 of the same year.

The provisions of this act become effective July 1, 2017.

This act is substantially similar to HB 438 (2015).
