SB 499 - This act removes from the description of the practice of professional land surveyors work which involves the survey of easements. The survey and location of rights-of-way are not exclusive to professional land surveyors unless the survey affects real property rights, as defined in current law. The act also states that any document prepared after August 27, 2014, shall remain valid even though it was not prepared by a professional land surveyor. JESSI BAKER
