HCS/HB 499 -- Current law requires that every school that is supported in whole or in part by public moneys must ensure that the Pledge of Allegiance be recited in at least one scheduled class of every pupil enrolled in that school no less often than once per school day. This act requires that the Pledge of Allegiance be recited in the English language no less often than once per school day. In addition, flags of the United States of America for display in individual classrooms may be provided by voluntary donation by any person.
