Current Bill Summary

- Prepared by Senate Research -

HCS/HJR 24 - Currently, only the Governor and Treasurer are limited in the number of terms for which he or she may serve in office. This constitutional amendment, if adopted, would expand the same term limits to the Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General beginning with the 2016 general election, and the Auditor beginning with the 2018 general election.
