HB 1318 Reduces the duration of organizational membership requirement for the administration of bingo games

SCS/HCS/HB 1318 - Currently, only religious, charitable or civic organization may operate a bingo game. To manage a bingo game, a person must have been a member of such organization for at least two years. To operate a bingo game, a person must have been a member of such organization for at least one year. Staff of such an organization may not manage or operate a bingo game unless they volunteer their time, their job does not directly relate to the bingo game, and they have been a member of the organization for at least two years. This act reduces the time period for these situations to six months.

The provisions of this act do not take effect unless a constitutional amendment is approved which changes the duration of organizational membership requirement for the administration of a game of bingo.

This act is similar to HB 1317 (2015).
