HCS/HB 1243 - This act requires that an applicant for a navigator license must take an exam administered by the Department of Insurance or an independent testing service with which the Department has contracted and requires licensed navigators to provide a surety bond or other evidence of financial responsibility that protects all persons against wrongful acts, misrepresentations, errors, omissions, or negligence of the navigator.

This act is similar to SB 204 (2015) and the introduced version of SB 508(2014).
