HCS/HB 527 - This act requires health carriers to make available to its appointed insurance producers the individual health benefit plan premiums and plans no later than twenty-one days prior to the beginning of the annual enrollment period in accordance with federal law, subject to any limitations a federal agency or federal law may impose on health carriers. Such health carriers may provide the health benefit plan monthly premiums and summary of benefits to its appointed insurance producers in a format determined by the health carrier. This act does not give the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration approval authority over any health benefit rates or plans.

This act is substantially similar to SCS/SB 432 (2015).
