HB 1305 - This act requires any comprehensive state energy plan developed by the Division of Energy to be approved by the General Assembly before becoming effective. This provision is similar to HB 923 (2015). This provision is similar to a provision in the perfected version of HB 918 (2015), HCS/SCS/SB 152 (2015), HCS/HB 1102 (2015), HCS/SB 148 (2015), HCS/SCS/SB 152 (2015), and HCS/SCS/SB 445 (2015).

This act also creates the Regulatory Improvement Commission in the Department of Economic Development. Members will be appointed by the General Assembly. The Commission will make recommendations for modifications or repeal of regulations with the goal of encouraging growth and innovation. The Commission must file a report by December 31, 2016.
