HCS/HB 296 - This act creates the First Informer Broadcasters Act. This act requires broadcasters, in cooperation with the Department of Public Safety, to establish a program for training broadcast engineers and personnel as first informers. This act allows any statewide broadcasting organization to establish a program for training broadcast engineers and personnel as first informers as set forth in this act. Those that complete the training shall be allowed to access areas affected by emergency or disaster.KAYLA CRIDER
