HCS/HB 457 - For school year 2016-2017 and each school year thereafter, upon graduation from high school, students in public school and charter schools must receive a thirty-minute instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and training in the proper performance of the Heimlich maneuver or other first aid for choking given at any time during a student's four years of high school.

Beginning in school year 2016-2017, public schools and charter schools must provide enrolled students instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Instruction must be included in the district's existing health or physical education curriculum.

This act is similar to SCS/SB 493 (2015).
